当做脸达人徐素满（Su-Man）第一次为49岁的法国女星友朱丽叶·毕诺雪（Juliette Binoche）做脸时，快人快语的她说：“你的脸部肌肉松垮，而且整个脸的气场被困着，死气沉沉。”影后躺在床上，心里嘀咕：“这么毒舌，下次不来了！”但75分钟的疗程后，朱丽叶改变了主意，还请素满作为她的专用做脸师。素满笑说：“朱丽叶坦承她抗拒不了我的触感，因为从来没有人能够像我那样让她如此容光焕发。”有一年半的光景，素满贴身伴随影后，当时她拍美国片《非法入侵》（Breaking and Entering），素满每天给影后做脸、按摩全身；有深厚舞蹈底子的她还负责训练朱丽叶的肢体动作。回想起2005年和影后的日子，素满心直口快地笑说：“我有时在片场要凌晨3点起床帮她做脸，这样才好上装。她就好了，整个片场就只有她容光焕发，我们就残得要死。”

Some say she is a ‘magician’; others claim her facials have transformed them. Celebrity facialist Su-Man Hsu says she’s not a beautician, but a skin artist who cares for not just the skin, but a person’s well-being holistically.

Having just arrived from Bali, Su-Man, who is based in London, is at the AWAY Spa at the W Singapore Sentosa Cove from the 12^th to 20^th of October offering her signature facial, which combines different forms of traditional massage techniques and scientific knowledge.

We speak to facialist-to-the-A-list Su-Man Hsu.

Working her magic on the likes of Freida Pinto, Juliette Binoche and Anne Hathaway and developing her technique for the last ten years, has left facialist to the A-list, Su-Man Hsu with the skin care knowledge of a true master. Her signature technique, inspired by shiatsu and pilates, has been dubbed the ‘five star facial’ by Tatler magazine and is often referred to as the one hour face lift, as Hsu combines muscle massage, with a holistic approach to the traditional facial. She shared with Vogue her unique approach to skin care and what she thinks you should be doing with your skin care regime. Her answers might surprise you.
