Su- Man Skincare – Make Your Skincare Regime A Joy Not A Chore!
Before I start I have to say that this skincare range is exquisite, it’s like nothing else I have used before.
As with any skincare range, if you’re new to using something, do a patch test first to make sure your skin is happy with the ingredients. I tested behind my ear and had no adverse reactions.
I’m reviewing 3 products today, the Purifying Cleansing Gel Oil, the Exfoliating Facial Polish and the Velvet Skin Brightening Serum.
I bought these products as a Discovery Set from QVC costing £38.64 + £3.95 P+P. I’ve been using them religiously over the last 2 weeks.
Su-Man Skincare is built on a three-step system of purifying, energising and nourishing, ensuring that the skins natural barrier is reinforced at every stage.
The aim is to keep your skins appearance soft, radiant and youthful with this anti-ageing system.
Su-Man is 51 years of age, and if you see her you’ll think no way! I’d say she must be 20 years younger but then that’s testament to her own skincare products.
I’m just glad I’ve found her because she’s changed my life!
Su-Man has sourced some of the most powerful active ingredients in the formulation of her products. Here are some of them;
- Dragon’s Blood (which I’ve used for years on my sensitive skin) is a red resin extracted from the Sangre de Drago tree native to the Amazon rainforest.This helps to create a second skin barrier, to repair and reconstruct collagen, reverse environmental damage and restore firmness and elasticity to the skin.
- Coffee, the caffeine has anti-inflammatory properties and helps to smooth skin, reduces redness, puffiness and dark circles.
- Rosehip Seed Oil, this has regenerative and anti-ageing properties. It’s a dry oil rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids, it promotes skin repair and smoothes wrinkles.
- Ricesilk, this has soothing, mattifying properties. It retains moisture, absorbs excess sebum and reduces facial shine.
- Matrixyl 3000, this is a peptide with powerful anti-ageing and anti-wrinkle properties. It promotes collagen production and activates skin regeneration, improving skin tone, elasticity and firmness.
- Tranexamic Acid, a synthetic derivative of the amino acid lysine, it has anti-inflammatory and lightening properties. It evens and brightens the skin tone, reduces age spots, acne scars and marks caused by sun exposure.
- Wintergreen, is a pain relieving antiseptic it is very effective in soothing and softening skin and reduces the appearance of pores.
- Camu Camu, high in Vitamin C it has powerful antioxidant and revitalizing properties, helps to smooth fine lines, protect against free radicals, promotes firmness and brightens the skin.

So how did I get on with the three products I tested?
- Firstly I really like the tubes that the cleansing gel and facial polisher are stored in. They are in a twist top that ensures no spillage and overuse of product, they are also incredibly hygienic.
- The Purifying Cleansing Gel Oil smells gorgeous, I can tell by the scent that only the best ingredients have been put into this product.
- I’m first trying these products as part of my night time routine, so there will be a double cleanse because I’m wearing makeup.
- I put a generous amount between the palms of my hands and warmed the product. Always make sure you have enough of a product so that when you massage it onto your skin your hands glide over your skin effortlessly and there is no dragging.
- Applying to my dry skin, I then massaged my face firmly, moving the muscles under my skin increasing the microcirculation and warming my skin.
- I also massaged right up to my hairline, over my ears, around the jaw line and over the neck (don’t forget to take this around to the back of your neck)
- After around 5 minutes of massaging I then rinsed my skin with warm water, the oil will turn milky as you rinse it away.
- Once my skin was clean and dry, I then applied a small amount of the Facial Polish, now I know from the texture of this product it is too harsh for my sensitive skin so I’ve mixed a small amount with the cleansing gel oil for my second cleanse.
- If you like coffee, you will love the smell of this product and if you use it in the morning you will definitely get a coffee wake up call!
- I then massaged my skin firmly for a minute and then rinsed the product off with warm water.
- My skin is so smooth to the touch and has a radiance that I haven’t experienced before.
- I then put a few drops of the Velvet Skin Brightening Serum between the palms of my hands and warm the product.
- I then pressed the serum into my skin, using my hands as suction cups. I find that this action helps to get the serum deeper into my skin.
- I then followed with an eye cream and a moisturiser.
Would I recommend these products?
I absolutely love these products especially the serum!
- The cleansing gel oil removes all makeup including waterproof easily and effectively. It smells beautiful and didn’t cause any negative reactions on my sensitive skin.
- The facial polish certainly helped to smooth my complexion, even when I used it mixed with the cleaning gel.
- The brightening serum smells gorgeous and after one application my skin had a lovely glow and looked luminous.
- My skin was glowing after makeup application and I had comments on how well I was looking.
- I would love Su-Man and QVC to do another Discovery Kit, this time with the remaining products from the range. It would be nice to test out the whole skincare regime.
